The Fellowship Model Building Challenges

In order to encourage fellow members to grow in their modeling endeavors and to challenge one’s own modeling knowledge, skills, creativity, and ingenuity the Fellowship periodically issues in-house build challenges and contests.

The first of these challenges was the recent Halloween Build-A-Monster Challenge.

We are currently working on a set of challenges for the upcoming year’s meetings and will post a list of the challenge and dates in the coming days, so be sure to check in often.

Rusty Nail Award

The Rusty Nail award goes to the one member of the group who the rest feel has done the most to benefit The Fellowship as a whole or for exceptional conduct in other model related areas.

The award was hand crafted by Fellowship member Ron Leker and was named in honor of fellow member and award winning modeler, Rusty Nail. Currently, the active members reach a consensus as to who to bestow this prize to on a monthly basis.

Curious as to how to receive this highly sought after, highly coveted award????? It’s easy, just go out into the modeling world and make a difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halloween Challange Update!

Halloween Challenge Winner!!!!!!!!

At our November 13 2010 meeting, Tom’s Witch was awarded 1st place in the 2010 Build-A-Monster Halloween Challenge.

Tom’s take on this classic kit was simply “creepy” and using his fantastic painting techniques really brought this kit to “life”.

Way to go, Tom! Many Thanks for sharing your “magic with the plastic” with us all!
